Grand Canyon

Suddely dark clouds filled the sky.

Playing in the shop.

“Hmm. What’s that interesting stuff down there?”

This is my personal favorite experience at Grand Canyon. We saw two families where the women and the girls were dressed like they are in this picture. I am so curious and can’t get them out of my mind; who are theses people and why are they dressed like that? Where and how do they live? I wish I would have had the courage to ask them. Discussing with several people I have come to the conclusion that they probably are mormons.

Looks like a fun job to swing about in that metal cage.

Day 4: Las Vegas and Wal-Mart

One can really buy everything at Wal-Mart
In the morning we strolled around on the streets of Las Vegas and ended up at Wal-Mart for what we planned would be a quick stop-by to get water and memory-cards for the camera. The quick stop-by turned into hours long shopping-euphoria among cookies, cheap make-up and all those small special thing one cannot find back home. You see, for a Scandinavian Wal-Mart is an amazing US experience. At Wal-Mart you find package-sizes we thought were possible and goods and brands to a much less price we pay at home. And the people look just like Americans look on news-clips from the states – what a tourist-experience!

We stayed at this hotel.

Our hotel from the car park.

At a water show

At the casino

Expectations are high in front of the slot-machine. We were not lucky this time.

“Skrutt!”
“K is a holistic experience”
Awwww!

The tunnel was getting cleaned so we got stuck in this queue.

After an hour it was not that much fun anymore.

Look carefully and you will see Anasazi-buildings inside the cliff. They look so tiny on picture.

Day 2: Petroglyfs

It is hard to see in the picture but these rocks were full of Anasazi messages.
